Teaching English Abroad: Guides & Books

There are many online resources for teaching English abroad, far more than I can even shake a stick at, and I'll try to highlight those that make the best sense in the Resources page.

You'll also find many guides online that introduce teaching English abroad, and you'll find some great books, too. Some sources that are pretty good, such as these two items...

  •  Teaching ESL through Compelling Conversations is pretty useful, and provides actual sample lessons, conversation classes, etc. that will help you master many of the skills you need for teaching English abroad.
  • For practical classroom guidance, one resource you can look at is 52 Teaching Tips that introduces classroom organization, class time management, etc., etc.

If you are sporting a Kindle Reader, you'll also find some great Teaching ESL Kindle Books that you can purchase quickly, conveniently, and many are available internationally at highly affordable prices.
